This is a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner performed by five little girls (with big voices). Two six-year-olds, two seven-year-olds, and an eight-year-old. Performed at a Texas Tech basketball game on February 9th, it is simply one of the BEST performances of the SSB that I've ever heard. It brought a lump to my throat and misted up my eyes, and I'm not ashamed to say it. If you love this country, I defy you to listen to it and not feel the same emotions.
The girl on the far left is eight, the two in the center are seven and the two on the far right are six. It was said that you could hear a pin drop during their performance.
UPDATE: It seems that I'm behind the curve on these little girls. Several of my friends were already aware of the Cactus Cuties (as they're known). They've been around for several years and the eight-year-old is now fourteen. They performed on the 700 Club and at a San Antonio Spurs game. I googled them and found several more performances of different tunes - but none outdid this version of the Star Spangled Banner.
